Ottawa, ON – The Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA) would like to congratulate newly elected Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief, Cindy Woodhouse.
ONWA recognizes that National Chief Woodhouse is another example of Indigenous women across Turtle Island continuing to reclaim and take up their inherent leadership roles. National Chief Woodhouse steps into her new role on familiar ground as the now former AFN Regional Chief for Manitoba.
ONWA looks forward to building a relationship with National Chief Woodhouse in order to support the safety and prosperity of Indigenous women, their families and their communities.
