Notice to ONWA Southern Region Members

Dear ONWA Southern Region Members,
After the ONWA Board of Directors meeting on September 11th, 2025, a Southern Region Director position became open. In the next weeks, we are asking that the Southern Region nominate Indigenous women that you believe would be interested in being a director for your region.
The process that we will be following in the next month will be:
October 6, 2025 - Nomination information has gone out (this e-mail).
October 24th, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. - Nominations close.
October 29, 2025 – Nomination Committee will meet to review nominations
November 3rd to Novemer12, 2025 - Voting for the Southern Regional Board member will be done by survey monkey. Only representatives at the 2025 AGA for the Southern Region will be eligible to vote. Three reminders to vote will be circulated within the voting period.
Ending of November – Results will be announced via email.
Nomination papers have been emailed to all southern region members listed in the 2025 profile update process. The nomination documents list the description and mandate of an ONWA Director.
